Hard Drive Upgrades

To upgrade permanent Finnix installations that were created via the hard drive installation notes, please see the Upgrades section.

Known Issues

• "toram" and "testcd" will fail if the Finnix CD is burned in Track-At-Once (TAO) mode. Instead, you must use Disc-At-Once (DAO) mode. Please supply the -dao option to cdrecord, or check the "Disc-At-Once" option on burning programs such as Nero.

• Changed "dma" boot option to "nodma".
• Added DMA-bad blacklist to initrd (kernel should be doing that, but 2.6.17 seems to be skipping this)
• Added readme.txt to CD
• Converted all Finnix packages to true source packages
• NTFS write support (via new NTFS-FUSE, "ntfsmount /dev/hda1 /mnt/ntfs")
