dd_rescue, diskdev_cmds, mac-fdisk (pdisk for Linux)

dd_rescue - incredibly useful admin tool. Images partitions to file, or other partitions.

Useful on PPC because Apple's HFS+ has journals and resource forks that Linux cannot handle completely - even in 2.6.24. dd_rescue goes underneath the file system for copy/rescue purposes.

Also consider diskdev_cmds and of course, mac-fdisk, if it's not in there already.

    On diskdev_cmds see http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_hfsplus

By the way - super job on PPC64 in the latest Finnix. Really fantastic. I just missed dd_rescue!

Thanks, re: PPC64. I'm mostly flying blind on 64-bit support, as I have no G5 equipment available to me during testing.

As for the software suggestions, shouldn't be a problem. I'll look into them (though I'm pretty sure mac-fdisk is already present).
