Currently, when a new snapshot goes out, the link in the RSS is pointing directly to the snapshot. Since the current password system has the password change every day, this basically doesn't work since you'll just have to abort it and go back through the main site instead of using the RSS.
Could the RSS be adjusted so that it points to the snapshots page itself so that users can see the password before trying to get the snapshot? Or, better yet, is there some way the password system could be made easier to work with (I'm wondering in particular if it could, instead of passwords, use user accounts. That way anyone can get the snapshots since registration is free, but if someone starts abusing it too much you should be able to block that particular account or something and make it a lot harder for them to keep abusing.)
EDIT: This was either filled after I asked or maybe even before and I just missed it. Thanks for the great solution. Now I can just use the links from the RSS feeds for the actual download.
